Music on the Run Tutor Information
If you have any questions please Contact Music on the Run.
Professionalism:
- Tutors are expected to present themselves in a professional manner - this includes wearing presentable and appropriate attire, and exhibiting a courteous manner to both students and parents.
- Punctuality is vital - it is the responsibility of the tutor to provide adequate warning if running late for a lesson or unavailable.
Lessons:
- Lessons are to be well planned and structured.
- All students should be established into a practice routine which is to be outlined to parents.
- Tutors will provide support and assistance with school music demands, exam music, audition and eisteddfod preparations and learning for fun.
- Tutors will prepare the students for solo performances and teach appropriate performance etiquette.
Housekeeping Issues:
- All communication regarding timetabling takes place between tutors and students/parents - if there are any issues Music on the Run can be contacted.
- A record of visits must be kept with both tutor and parent signatures - this is to avoid any inconsistencies which may occur with non-payment or non-attendance issues. Use this record of visits to make notes on cancelled lessons, rescheduled lessons and make up lessons.
- A Performance Evening is held once a year to provide all Music on the Run students with an opportunity to perform for family and friends.
Agreement:
- Tutors are asked to complete and return the Tutor Application Form, acknowledging that they accept the conditions of registration with Music on the Run.
- Tutors are not required to pay any form of registration.
